Spring hybrid runnin and gunnin!
« on: April 11, 2017, 09:31:01 PM »
Well it's been that magical time of year when the hybrids of lake degray run up the caddo river. This year did not disappoint. It was about a two week window this time. Some heavy rains did make for some tough conditions at times but we still persevered. I got autumn out there early in the run and the conditions were absolutely perfect. She got to play in the water, look for shells, and of course catch tons of fish. I took some time off work so I could do some exploring up there and really get into some great fishing. Took my buddy Glyn another day after some rain. The river was a couple feet higher than when autumn and I went, but we managed to find some fishable holes and tore those hybrids up. I swear next to Christmas, this is my favorite time of year. I'll attach some pics.

Couple close ups of some nice ones. Can't beat catching insanely strong fish on the fly in a river!
