Feb. 16,18, 2018  Little Missouri Fly Fishing Festival in Murfreesboro, AR. The Eleventh Ever Little Mo' Fly Fishing Festival will in fact, once again, be at the Murfreesboro Municipal Building - that's one block east of the Pike County Court House Square on Main Street. Circle around the Court House and turn right after Hawkins Variety Store. We collect a very minimal registration fee of $5 per person or just $10 for the whole family. Feb. 24, 2018 Fly Fish Texas  9:00am - 4:00pm Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center Athens, Texas Anglers from novice to expert will gather at TFFC to celebrate the sport of fly-fishing. Learn the basics of fly-tying and casting, then fish for rainbow trout in our on-site ponds and streams. Attend seminars and demonstrations led by fly-fishing professionals. Visit with vendors of fly-fishing services and equipment.
Fly-fishing clubs from across Texas will be on hand to help anyone who wants to learn or improve existing skills. Equipment will be provided for casting classes, but participants are welcome to bring their own gear.

October . ? , 2018,   29th Annual Southern Fly Fishers Rendezvous, North Toledo Bend State Park, Zwolle, LA. Informal gathering of fly fishers from several states. No organized activities, but typically 30 or more tiers active at any time. Fee includes lodging and meals. Welcome again to the North Toledo Bend Rendezvous! The date is Friday afternoon,Ocober ?st thru Sunday morning, October ?rd, 2018. Rendezvous is the result of several fly fishermen gathering to fish and tie flies at the state park many years ago. After a couple of years of growing pains they found the park's group facility. And what a facility indeed! A capacity of 150 people in 5 heated log bunkhouses (30 beds each), a heated central shower and restroom building with nice night lighting on all the sidewalks and a large main log building with A/C, a commercial kitchen, dining hall, fireplace, a long front porch, picnic table and a large barbeque trailer out front.
