Current Generation Aug 24 through September 2, 2018
« on: August 24, 2018, 11:44:01 AM »
We've got generation today, Saturday and Sunday from Noon to 8:00 PM scheduled this weekend.

Next week - the 27th through September 2nd - generation from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM with the exception of Friday till 8:00 PM and Sunday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM only!

I believe that's Labor Day weekend, correct? Don't know what to expect for Labor Day Monday. In the past they used to not have any generation on holidays, but in recent years that hasn't necessarily been the case.

Lake is at 543.95' - pretty decent for this time of year!

How long of a delay is there between the actual start of generation and when you see an appreciable rise on the Highway 27 gauge?  I ask because the generation schedule the last few days shows it starting up at 1:00, but the 27 gauge doesn?t show any noticeable increase those days until sometime between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM.  I?m trying to get an idea of how to read the 27 gauge to determine actual generation vs. the generation schedule.

Yep, that's pretty accurate estimations.

Just a little more than six hours from crank up HWY 27! It's twelve miles and the river flows about 2 1/2 miles an hour at full flow!

Just for general info, high water arrives at:
River Ridge - 30 minutes
Hind's Bluff - 45 minutes
Factory Site - 1:30-:45
Low Water - 2:15

Thanks Jeff.  I was out there yesterday early, at Riverside, and there was nothing even moving around until about 10:00.  Caught a couple rainbows between 10 and 11, but you?re right about those things being spooky this time of year.  Saw a few bolt when my fly dropped 20 feet upstream from them.  Generation started up right before noon.
