The Seventeenth Ever
Little Mo' Fly Fishing Festival
February 15-17th Weekend
The hall is reserved and plans have been made for the 2019 Fly Fishing Festival. As it always has been - President's day Weekend at the Murfreesboro Municipal Building.
Fly Tying, a few programs, food - you guys know the drill. Time for me to get out the invitations and settle on details. Gordon Shaw and Larry Offner are planning presentations as of right now. Do ya'll still like the Fantasy Fly Draft? Hopefully it will be just after the Saints win the Super Bowl!!!
(Yeah, well - so much for that plan...)In the meantime I have heard from many of the
Usual SuspectsScott Irwin
Texas Jack Isham
David Chin
Johnny McJunkins
Dick Waldrep
Ashley Berry
Jake Faulkner
Eddie Driskill
Glen Catch Cormier
Don Lawler
Rex White
On the schedule, I'm looking to have:
Uncle Larry Offner and his "Musings of a Fly Shop Owner" at 10:00 Saturday.
Followed by Gordon Shaw on "Fiberglass Rods" at Noon.
Would ya'll be interested in a "Blending Materials" session again? That seemed to produce some interest in the past! Let's say 1:30?
Probably won't be able to get a River Critters going the first part of Saturday. They're running water (at least scheduled to) till 2:00 PM - unless we collect on Friday afternoon!
And the Fly Draft at 7:00 PM Saturday - bring six of your favorite flies to get in, and everyone who's in will select three each in two rounds of swapping in a random name pull! Good flies - good fun!
And then Sunday morning as always, I'll do the "Can You Take It" casting session - 10:00 at Riverside Park ($5 per body).
And Don Jackson from Ouachita Outdoor Outfitters will be back on Saturday!
I'll be putting more information here as I get it it.
Let me know if you're coming and maybe, JUST
MAYBE we might be fishing on a regular basis by then!
