Title: 15 March 2025 “for you weekenders”
Post by: HEN on Mar 15, 2025, 06:24 AM
As of 6:00am this morning they are still running at 7% or minimum flow, the river is wadeable. The fish are small but plentiful when you find the packs. I fished here yesterday but with a falling barometer at 29.43 the fish were not real active, also the water is very cold!🥶.

In answer to your question John, I have no idea what the Corp will be doing next Thursday? I will however, post what I see as soon as I see it. That's the best I can do.

Still haven't seen any sign of them starting work on the generators. Lake is holding steady around 539 to 540. Have started seeing the March Brown hatches on the river. Water clarity is rather merky and cloudy coming off the lake. Hopefully it will start clearing up some after today since the rain chances are minimal, after today, for the coming week or so.

Thanks Mike. Will just wait and see for next week. Do you know any current conditions for Albert pike? John D

Has the water cleared up yet, was by the late Thursday and it was not safe for me. Could not see the bottom to wad safely.

Water clarity is still cloudy. It's coming off the bottom of the lake thru the bunger valve. You just have to Wade slowly!!!  When you're almost 80 years old like me there is no such thing as wading safety anyway!🤣. Ok Ugly Flies, why don't you post a picture of that ugly fly that's so good??

I see no reason that they should open the bunger past the current minimum flow of 7%. The lake is still at 539 and no significant rain in site. River should remain wadeable.

I'm interested to see this fly too!
