Title: 7 April 2025 “ still holding”
Post by: HEN on Apr 07, 2025, 01:38 PM
As of 12 noon today the bunger valve is still closed. The lake is at 549.05, up 11 feet this past week!!  Langley is at 5 foot, it peaked at 13 feet last week, that's usually enough to blow the fish out of the park!!  The Ouachita river at Camden is at 36 feet, that's 10 foot above flood stage. In opinion that's why they are holding water here, and will continue to hold until the Ouachita peaks at Camden and starts dropping. Makes it scary fishing not knowing when they will open the bunger, especially since they don't blow a siren!!

Guess this will postpone any planed work on the dam.

Needless to say we got a little rain here last week☂️☂️.

Thanks Mike.  Sounds like Albert Pike will be out until the next stocking.  In your opinion what gage height at Langley do you not wade at?  I think it was about 3.65 when we had a good day a couple of years back.
