Title: Where is the Trough and Triangle
Post by: GORDOBRY on March 13, 2022, 05:07:32 PM
I don't get to fish the Little Mo nearly as much as I'd like, and I'm not familiar with the names and location given to several spots on the river.  Particularly I don't know which area is referred to as the Trough and the Triangle.  Any help would be appreciated.

Both are very finite spots I like to refer to. Both are within the overall “Flat” area at Riverside… Both are frequently walked through by those thinking fish might be somewhere else! 🤔 Somewhat cryptic, maybe?  😉

But, as I’ve oft mentioned over the last twenty-five years - “If I tell everybody everything, I’ll put myself out of business!” 😎

Thanks Jeff, that's good enough.  And I respect your position as a guide.  You've been very informative and we appreciate that.

Gordobry, Once they make several stockings, usually after Thanksgiving through about April one of my favorite spots to fish is at Hinds Bluff. There are several spots where you can try different techniques, flies, etc. Butt Buster Shoals is at Hinds Bluff above the stocking pipe. It is a great place to drift a fly in shallow moving water and work on mending your line. It reminds me of some streams out west. Just be careful of overhead limbs. John D

Thanks John.   We've fished Hinds in the past but only in the immediate area below the steps.  But I'd like to try the area you mentioned next time I'm up there.
