The Lower Little Mo' / January Stocking
« on: January 05, 2023, 10:19:35 AM »
A good friend is fishing the Little Mo this week.  He called me yesterday and said he was at Albert Pike Wednesday and the stocking truck put some 600 fish in.  Don't have information as to stocking numbers on the lower river but assume they stock both locations on the same day.  I believe the 600 number is the number published for Pike.  Hopefully the lower river numbers will coincide with the published amounts.  He said the lower river is still somewhat clouded from the lake turnover.

The Upper River / White Bass

Does Lake Greeson have white (or sand bass as they're called in Texas) bass and if so do they run up the tributaries to the lake to spawn?

The Lower Little Mo' / Are there scuds and/or sowbugs in the Little Mo
« on: March 18, 2022, 12:51:24 PM »
I'm not familiar with the natural aquatic insects that inhabit the Little Mo.  I've not heard anyone talking about using scuds or sowbug flies so I'd assumed there might not be any in the river.  Am I wrong?

Fire Away! / Where is the Trough and Triangle
« on: March 13, 2022, 05:07:32 PM »
I don't get to fish the Little Mo nearly as much as I'd like, and I'm not familiar with the names and location given to several spots on the river.  Particularly I don't know which area is referred to as the Trough and the Triangle.  Any help would be appreciated.

The Upper River / Albert Pike Stocking
« on: February 18, 2022, 05:18:39 PM »
Does anyone know the status of trout stocking in the Albert Pike area of the Little Mo?  I had heard there was some concern trout stocking was being impacted by some who thought the trout were a threat to a small mouth species only found in that area.  We fished that area last March and while we caught a few trout and only one very small small mouth the fishing was pretty slow.  We had heard that the trout stocking had been reduced considerably.
