Hen, please don't stop posting.  We enjoy reading them even though we don't get to Little Mo in the summertime.  With regards to the bait fishermen, are there any big signs posted anywhere along there that you can't fish with bait, barbed hooks, nor keep fish during this part of the year?  The regular signs don't emphasize it enough.  Keep up the good work, and stay cool.

Mike, please don't give up the reports.  I find them of great interest and I believe others do also.  There just doesn't seem to be as much activity on the message board as in times past, but please don't quit them.

Looks like they're trying to keep the lake level close to normal, upper river is still running a foot or so high.  Thanks for your reports Mike.

The Lower Little Mo' / January Stocking
« on: January 05, 2023, 10:19:35 AM »
A good friend is fishing the Little Mo this week.  He called me yesterday and said he was at Albert Pike Wednesday and the stocking truck put some 600 fish in.  Don't have information as to stocking numbers on the lower river but assume they stock both locations on the same day.  I believe the 600 number is the number published for Pike.  Hopefully the lower river numbers will coincide with the published amounts.  He said the lower river is still somewhat clouded from the lake turnover.

Thanks John.  Just got online and sent you a text.  Really appreciate it, and especially tyers who prefer to keep it simple. Looking forward to seeing it.

John, the dry fly you're using sure sounds interesting.  Are there any tutorials anywhere on tying it, and if not, would you share the recipe for it?  Can't wait to get back up to Little Mo, but may be awhile now.  Thanks for your report too John, Hen is doing a great job.

Thanks Hen, good work.  Is the car wash bridge the low water bridge going into the big swimming hole?  I'm not familiar with the description.  Thanks again.

Thanks John.   We've fished Hinds in the past but only in the immediate area below the steps.  But I'd like to try the area you mentioned next time I'm up there.

Wow Hen, 61 F, that's great.  Good report, and maybe we're going to have an early fall.

Thanks Hen, that makes a lot of sense.  I'll give it a try.

Mike, I applaud you and Jeff for working out this arrangement for reports on the river.  Up until you started doing this I was beginning to think my computer wasn't receiving as I'd visit the site and no posts.

I live in Tyler, Tx and don't get to fish the Little Mo as much as I'd like but reading your interesting reports satisfies my absence to some extent.  Our trips are mostly in the fall to winter time frame and in early spring.  Hopefully we'll get to add more to that this next year.  We tend to fish the river from River Ridge to below Old Factory.  I'm not familiar with Sycamore Run but am assuming it's closer to the park area.

Sure hope you will continue with the reports, they are really appreciated.

There are still quite a few spots on the river that people refer to that I have no idea of their location.  I wish I could help but I have no idea where Sycamore Run is.  Perhaps in time I'll find out.  I also find a difference recently in the replies, or lack thereof, to posts.  Have people lost interest in sharing information?  It appears so.

The Upper River / Re: White Bass
« on: March 21, 2022, 10:59:22 AM »
Thanks Jeff.  While we don't plan on hitting Albert Pike and the upper river, we just use it as a fall back if unscheduled generation happens.  We ran into that last March, none to speak of published and they had a repair situation at the dam and were generating 24 hours a day from Monday through Thursday.  No generation on Friday when we were scheduled to leave.

Does Lake Greeson have white (or sand bass as they're called in Texas) bass and if so do they run up the tributaries to the lake to spawn?
