Thanks John.  Just got online and sent you a text.  Really appreciate it, and especially tyers who prefer to keep it simple. Looking forward to seeing it.

John, the dry fly you're using sure sounds interesting.  Are there any tutorials anywhere on tying it, and if not, would you share the recipe for it?  Can't wait to get back up to Little Mo, but may be awhile now.  Thanks for your report too John, Hen is doing a great job.

First of all a big Thank You to Mike Ingram for his posts to keep us informed of happenings on the Lil Mo!

I arrived at Hinds Bluff this morning to find Gordon Shaw and his friend(Randy? his name escapes me) already into fish. I went to the lower end and got into fish right away. I was fishing the little dry fly with brown hackle and barred duck feathers for the tail. This fly is my starter fly and has been a really good one for the Lil Mo. It's a funny thing, as I had 6 boxes of flies in by bag and used 2 different ones all day.

I caught some really nice fish that were quite fiesty. It is so much fun when your fly hits the water and gets an immediate take. Plus it is so fun to see you line stop or move before the tug. There are still plenty of fish at Hinds Bluff and there are some that have really good colors.

I am so glad there have been several stockings with some nice fish. I had a great day, caught fish, and got home safely, John D

Caught fish at all five stocking locations this morning. Not as nice of fish (12’ to 13’) as the previous  batch we got from the Spring River, but they fight hard!!  Lots of people out on the river, I got out before the rain, but some people are still fishing in the rain!!😱😱😱. FlyFish found a rod and reel at Hinds Bluff. He gave it to me to hold here at my house. If you lost one in the last day or two, and can describe it to me here on this forum, you can have it back.  I’ll hold it here for you.

They dropped fish into the lower Little Missouri River today on semi high water. They generated until 2:00 today and the fish were stocked during the tail end of that generation. They weren’t scattered much, but will get another 9 hours of generation on them tomorrow from 6 am to 3 pm, that will move them around a little more. River Ridge did get stocked this time!!🤗🤗. There will be no need to fish Hinds Bluff because a group from the Louisiana fly fishing club had already descend on it this afternoon, and being so efficient and such expert fishermen, I’m sure they will give every fish the “sour mouth” by dark!!😂😂🤣. One of them did tell me they had caught some nice fish earlier at the park. We got fresh meat, enjoy.

Was wrong about another stocking this past week!!  It didn’t happen. I’m gonna quit speculating.  Still a lot of fish in some areas, trout hunting again.

Found out why they did not stock River Ridge. There were two vehicles blocking the stocking tubes and the driver could not get to them!!!  No one was around for them to yell at and ask them to move their cars. I just came from River Ridge and again there is a white truck parked right in front of the tube and no one around, assume they are either up or down river.  Just a word to the wise, don’t block the tubes, it’s to our advantage!!  Still a lot of nice fish at the stocking sites at Hinds Bluff, Old Factory Site, and the park. There has been very little generation to scatter them significantly. Kinda look for another stocking this week,,,maybe 🤗🤗.
