22 September 2022 “Slow week on the river”
« on: September 22, 2022, 10:23:04 AM »
Nothing much to report since last post. Still catching VERY few fish. Have not caught another baby Brown since my last post !! Checked at Hinds Bluff access to see if any were there, they were not, and the water temperature was 74 degrees!!  Water yesterday north of Copperhead crossing was 58, that’s great. They did generate the day before. Did meet another AGFC trout biologist on the river here Sunday with Randy Posey. He was still training Posey for his trout surveys this fall. He asked some questions and I’m sure you know I gave him my opinion!!🥴😬😬. His name was Joe Kaiser. The other biologist I met last week was Ryan Gary, they are both out of Mountain Home and their telephone number is 877-425-7577. ( that little bit of info is for you Carlton).  The days have gotten hot again here, so not much chance of the water cooling off down river, thus, no stocking any time soon😡😡. Had a few of the regular crowd out this weekend catching a few trout. That’s good because it lets the AGFC people see there is interest in this river in the off season!!
