HEN

It's now been 30 days (7 November 24) since the last stocking on the lower Lil' Mo'!!!  It's almost impossible to catch a fish at any access point on the river, they have either been harvested or moved. There has been no flow on the river since 14 November 24 when they turned off the bunger valve. That has actually made the fishing really nice for the past 3 weeks. The water temperature is great. At Riverside it's 56, at Hinds Bluff it's 46 and at Old Factory it's 44. That's not an error, it's colder down river than at the dam because of the seepage from the lake. The water clarity has turned very cloudy due to the 1 inch rain we had the other day and the lake has turned muddy so it's seeping into the river. There are still fish to be caught but you have to get away from the access sites, remember they were stocked on high water on the 7th of last month!!

I think this is the longest I can remember the AGFC not stocking during trout season. Would have been a really nice past 3 weeks of fishing if only they had.

Now I'm gonna pass on the rumors that I've heard and we'll see which ones come true 🥴. 1. Fish will be stocked here on the 9th or 10th (next Monday or Tuesday) of this month. 2. That will be the only stocking in December. (That makes one stocking in a two month period -poor!!). 3. They will begin running the bunger valve the 9th or 10th (next Monday or Tuesday) in order to pull the lake down another 4 or 5 feet.  4.Repairs will start on the dam the first week of January 2025. That means the fish will get scattered all over the river again- IF they stock!!

At the lakes current level of 538.60 they can take about 3/4 foot per day off the lake if they run a full river of water. (Let's hope they go ahead and get the water off and not slow roll the bunger valve at about 10%.  That's not fishable and helps nothing!! At that rate, they could get their 5 feet in about a week and we could get back to fishing. 🙏🙏.

That's about all the current information. Will let you know if my "rumors" come true. Until then, get away from the access sites, do a little walking and find a group of fish. When you do they are nice size and strong and healthy.

‼️ ByronT. Best I can tell you is watch my posts. They are not putting out any schedules since there is no generating, only bunger valve runnings. I try to post it as soon as I see the water running, if I'm home!!
