It’s been three weeks since any generation!!! The lake is still down 13 feet from pool stage. I checked the water temps at Hinds Bluff, it was 76 degrees 😬😬. The water temp at the park is holding ok at 59 degrees due to the trickle through the dam. The scary part of this is it may keep them from stocking until we get some generation and cool the water off down river. There is no generation scheduled for this week.
Another problem is with no generation the moss and algae growth at the park is really bad. Lots of slime!! River bottom also has a coating on it. Hard to get a fly down without junk on it.
Not what we want to hear but that’s the way it is!! Fishing is still really slow. Only 2 weeks until stocking time, hope conditions change soon!!
